Swap Details...

Hi Cuff Swap gals! I wanted to have a chat about our swap for a minute, but first, I thought I'd show you some of the pretties making it on my crafting table to inspire me while I work on swaps for Paper Cowgirl...
I just love me some pretty details!
AHHHH!!!

I often look around my room for "junk" most people would throw out to use in my crafting, and the cute edge on this top of a scrapbook kit hit me as YES that's a perfect edge design and width and length to use as a template for a cuff!
Do you do this also when you create?
Now on to the boring details for this post...

So if you've been keeping up on the Yahoo PC group, you know that the consensus is to have the swaps exchanged on THURSDAY night.
I originally was not planning to attend Thursday evening, but I can most likely get the time off to make it. My question is will all of you gals be able to make Thursday evening for the swap exchange?
I know with 18 swappers, we're not always going to have a home run with everyone able to attend at once, and we'll have to choose the best solution if not everyone can attend, but I wanted to hear from each of you whether THURSDAY June 24th is OK for you to swap the cuff bracelets.
Please either leave a comment here, email me at purrpage3[at]verizon[dot]net OR leave a comment on the Yahoo Paper Cowgirl site.
Can't wait for the fun of Paper Cowgirl! Yippee!

Surprise Cuffs!

Hi gals! I'm a magazine addict so I often shop for my magazines at Half Price Books. Last week I came upon some great magazines with different cuff ideas!
The first one was in Quilting Arts Magazine
Actually there are two!
The first one integrates variegated threads, machine embroidery and decorative pipe cleaners!
Isn't it really interesting with the triangular shapes?
I thought it would spark your ideas for the swap!
You can also see more from this fiber artist at Crafts on the Web
The next cuff is from the same magazine....

Aren't these neat?!
I love the combination of fabrics and beads!
Just some more ideas for you!
The next magazine I found was...
The cuff that inspired me was...

Maybe instead of a polar bear you could put a horse or a
Cowgirl!
If you would like a copy of either projects' directions
and you're signed up for the Paper Cowgirl Cuff Swap
please email me your address at
purrpage3[at]verizon[dot]net
and I'll send the directions to you!

Another Cuff Bracelet Tutorial!

Hi Cuff Cowgirls! Have you begun your swap cuff yet? I have the parts gathered, but I get easily distracted and at least this weekend started my scrapbook pages for that swap because that's where my ideas were flowing this weekend. You know how that goes! You gotta flow where your creativity takes you!
Anyhoo.... I found this BEAUTIFUL cuff tutorial HERE that I just know you'll love!!!
Here's the finished cuff...
Isn't it so pretty?!!!
Now I'm assuming everyone has heard from their partners
and you know their preferences on colors and/or styles...
so imagine this in cremes and light pinks for the shabby swap
or cowgirl red ribbons and blues for the true Cowgirl!
A lovely blog, this one, that I found this on!
If you've begun your cuff or even finished it, maybe you'd like to share
some of the techniques or details (without revealing it to your partner!)
on here...
If so, please email me or leave me a comment...
My email address is clickable on my other blog on the sidebar...
look for the scrolly design thingy with "Contact Me"
We've got 18 swappers and 20 cuffs for us to ooohhhhh and
Ahhhhhhhhh over, isn't it fun?!!
